Harrison

Harrison, 28 Harrison Street, London WC1H 8JF

A modern pub internally, the Harrison still retains some of its old Watney's frosted windows. The décor is a mix of modern and traditional elements: open plan, large tables with sofas and armchairs, plus two real open fires. The pub is open from 11:00 to 23:00 from Monday to Friday, 11:00 to 17:00 on Saturdays, and 12:00 to 22:30 on Sundays. Food (light and main lunch menus) is served from 12:00 to 15:00 Monday to Friday. Dinner is from 18:00 to 21:30 Monday to Saturday; on Sunday, a traditional roast dinner is served between 12:30 and 20:00 with the full dinner menu available from 18:00 to 21:00. Sample menus are available on their website. The real ales on offer are Fuller's London Pride, Sharp's Doom Bar and Timothy Taylor Landlord.

As part of the Harrison's refurbishment, four modern style en-suite rooms were added. Three of the rooms are doubles and one can sleep three people. Currently, the price is £135 per night for a double room with breakfast and free WiFi.

Outside seating is available. The basement features live acoustic music on Sundays: folk, jazz, bluegrass, Irish traditional.

The Harrison is just off the Gray's Inn Road, less than 10 minutes' walk from King's Cross and St Pancras railway and underground stations. http://harrisonbar.co.uk/
